🚄 How to Get to Naoshima from Kyoto
You have two main routes to reach Naoshima from Kyoto:
🔹 Option 1 – Via Uno Port (Faster & Standard Route)
🚅 Take the Tokaido Shinkansen from Kyoto to Okayama (about 1h10, covered by JR Pass)
🚆 From Okayama Station, take the JR Uno Line to Uno Station (~1h, covered by JR Pass)
⛴️ From Uno Port, take a ferry to Miyanoura Port (Naoshima)
💴 Cost: ¥290, not covered by JR Pass
⏱️ Ferry duration: ~20 minutes
🔹 Option 2 – Via Takamatsu (Scenic Route)
🚅 Take the Shinkansen to Okayama, then
🚆 Take the Seto-Ohashi Line across the Great Seto Bridge to Takamatsu Station
⛴️ Take a ferry from Takamatsu Port to Miyanoura Port (Naoshima)

Most ferries arrive at Miyanoura Port, Naoshima’s main port
Ferries operate about every 30–60 minutes
