Iconic sacred bridge in Nikkō, painted in vibrant vermilion, spanning the Daiya River at the entrance to the Nikkō shrine complex. Dating back to the 17th century, it's part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site alongside Tōshō-gū Shrine. Legend says the gods gifted the bridge to help the monk Shōdō Shōnin cross the river safely. Today, it stands as one of the most photographed landmarks in Nikkō.

Price: ¥300 to cross the bridge (free to view from the road)
Touristy?: Very touristy. A must-see spot in Nikkō, visited year-round for its spiritual significance and beauty.
