Myojin Pond is a quiet pond located about one hour walk from Kappa Bridge in Kamikōchi. The pond sits within the grounds of Hotaka Shrine and is considered a sacred place dedicated to the mountain deities of the Hotaka range. The water is very clear and the surrounding forest creates a calm atmosphere. Wooden boats sometimes float on the pond, adding to the traditional scenery.
