The Sand Museum is located right next to the Tottori Sand Dunes and focuses entirely on sand art. Inside, you’ll find massive sand sculptures created by international artists, all following a different theme each year, often linked to world heritage or a specific country. I was surprised by the level of detail and how fragile yet precise everything looks. The visit is easy and not too long, and it works well combined with a walk at the dunes, especially if the weather outside isn’t perfect.
