The largest wholesale market in Japan and the successor to the famous Tsukiji Market. Located in Tokyo Bay, Toyosu Market is a clean, modern, and well-organized complex spread across several buildings. It hosts the famous tuna auctions (viewable from a glass observation gallery), as well as halls for seafood, fruits, and vegetables, and a wide selection of top-tier sushi restaurants.

The market is also connected to Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai, a newly opened center featuring public baths, shops, and a street food area with a vibe inspired by the Edo period.

💴 Price:
Free entry
🍣 Restaurants: around 1,500 to 4,000 ¥

📸 Touristy?: Very touristy. Popular in the early morning for the tuna auctions, and throughout the day for food lovers and those curious about Japanese market culture.

🕒 Best time to visit: Early morning (5:00–9:00 AM for auctions)
🎯 Tip: Many restaurants close by early afternoon (around 1 PM), so arrive in the morning to avoid long waits.
