A small ferry that has been in operation for centuries, offering a scenic boat ride across the Edo River.

Yagiri no Watashi is the last surviving Edo-period ferry in Tokyo, Japan. Back in the day, crossing a checkpoint without permission was a big no-no, but Yagiri was an exception because farmers needed to tend to their scallion and mugwort crops on both sides of the river. Today, it's still run by the same local family and serves as a charming piece of history that locals use for a quick ride across the Edo River. It's not just a tourist attraction—it's a beloved part of the neighborhood's past.
