Tucked away at the end of a quiet alley in Nakazakicho, a bohemian neighborhood north of Umeda, Osaka, this small shrine is dedicated to the White Dragon, the local protective deity. It’s associated with “Mi-san,” an albino snake-rat linked to the Chinese zodiac. Locals come here to pray for success in work, the arts, health, and marriage. The shrine is modest yet spiritually rich, marked by a small red torii and surrounded by an aura of calm right in the heart of the city.
