Isuien Garden is a Japanese garden located just behind Tōdai-ji in Nara. What makes it special is how the garden blends into its surroundings, with Mount Wakakusa and nearby hills used as part of the scenery. Walking through it feels calm and balanced, with ponds, stone paths, and tea houses laid out in a very natural way. I found it much quieter than Nara Park, and it was a really nice pause after visiting temples nearby. It’s easy to take your time here without feeling rushed.
