Shinto shrine located in the Suginami ward of Tokyo, known for its peaceful atmosphere and historical connection to samurai culture. Founded during the Kamakura period, it is dedicated to Hachiman, the protective deity of warriors. The grounds feature a lantern-lined path, a large torii gate, and a main hall built in 1664. Every five years, the shrine hosts a yabusame (horseback archery) demonstration. Surrounded by greenery, it’s a serene and quiet retreat from the city.
