Small sub-temple within the Nanzen-ji complex, known for its two contrasting gardens: a Zen-style dry rock garden and a strolling garden with a pond, maple trees, and wooden bridges. Especially appreciated in autumn for its vibrant colors, it’s also a peaceful spot in spring. Seasonal nighttime illuminations create a magical atmosphere.

Entrance fee: ¥500.
Touristy? Moderately touristy. Known for its gardens, but remains quiet outside peak seasons.
