Meiji no Yakata is located inside a Western-style residence from the Meiji era. Today, it’s a well-known restaurant serving Western-inspired Japanese dishes — the most famous being their cheese baked rice gratin, a local classic.
The atmosphere is calm, elegant, and surrounded by greenery, making it a nice break during a Nikkō visit.
