Pidurangala Rock is a gorgeous hike with a perfect view overlooking Lions Rock. The climb up takes around 30 minutes but it does include some rock scrambling. Once at the top you get panoramic views of the lush Sirigiya jungle. It's a great option for both sunrise and sunset.

Since this hike does include passing through a Buddist temple, you need to have your shoulders and knees covered. If you don't have one, there are free ones you can cover up with.

WARNING: the monkeys at the top are evil. They stole my entire purse when I set it down to take a picture for 5 seconds. Then the monkey climbed a tree, opened my bag, and threw all my money, cards, room key etc down into the jungle. It was a mess trying to collect my stuff. So don't have any food with you and don't set your stuff down!!
