Ravana Falls in Ella is Sri Lankas largest waterfall! Standing at approximately 25 meters tall, the waterfall flows from an oval-shaped rock outcrop and transforms into a stunning sight during the wet season. You can see the waterfall from all of the hikes in the area so its cool to see it up close.

Legend has it that the falls are linked to the mythical king Ravana from the Indian epic Ramayana, who supposedly hid Princess Sita in the caves behind the waterfall. The area is steeped in folklore so it gives it more of a cultural feel.
