The Paracas National Reserve is the main area to see when visiting Paracas. The reserve is huge with tons of sandy dunes and gorgeous coast line views. There are even a few areas where you can actually swim and be at the beach.

There are a few ways to explore this park, either by yourself or with a tour. You can also get around with with scooters, buggies, bicycles, or jeeps. I wanted to be cheap so I explored the park without a tour and on a bicycle and I would like to officially say NOT to do this. There are many many hills and it can get extremely windy so riding on a bike was a certain type of torture. If I were you, I would get a motorbike or a dune buggy. Trust me, the extra $$ is worth it for your comfort.

It also gets very hot and there is not one ounce of shade so bring water, sunscreen, and a hat!!! If you want to go to the beach there (which has crystal blue waters and lots of dolphins!!) then bring your swimsuit as well.
