Semuc Champey is a gorgeous natural wonder in Lanquin. It's known for the cascading turquoise blue pools nestled in the jungle. The clear blue water color is caused by the limestone rock beneath it.

You will need to a hike a bit in the jungle to get to the viewpoint and pools, there are lots of stairs but the view and refreshing dip is so so worth it. I did a tour with my hostel that included transportation, a guide, lunch, and entry to the park. We also got to go deep into a cave that was lit only by candlelight and jump off a high bridge (neither was mandatory).

I would recommend booking a similar tour so you get to experience all the area has to offer with a local guide.
