The Willow Tearooms in Glasgow, Scotland, are a spectacularly designed tea house designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh for local entrepreneur and patron Miss Catherine Cranston. The iconic tearoom is located on the south side of Sauchiehall Street, between Wellington Street and Blythswood Street surrounded by stunning architecture. Visitors to the building enjoy a range of different spaces with unique design concepts varying from light and airy spaces to dark and masculine-themed rooms. Mackintosh's signature influence continues throughout - from the sophisticated High House Room de Luxe to Margaret MacDonald’s famous gesso panel O ye, all ye that walk in Willowood, guests will truly feel like they have stepped into another world at the Willow Tearooms. Today, visitors can experience the wonder of the past as the tea room has been brought back to life with pristine restorations from 2014-2018.
