Loch Lubnaig is a stunning freshwater loch located in the Stirling council area of the Scottish highlands. Nestled between Ben Ledi and Ben Vorlich, the loch offers a variety of activities to enjoy, such as fishing from the shore or paddling one of the canoes available for rent. The route of the former Callander and Oban Railway, now a part of The National Cycle Network Route 7, runs along the west side of the loch, offering cyclists and walkers 9 miles of beautiful terrain between Callander and Strathyre. Its name is derived from the Gaelic Lùbnaig, meaning crooked, which describes the unusual shape of this loch. All aspects considered, Loch Lubnaig is a must-visit spot for any nature lover!
