Cockburn Street is a vibrant thoroughfare located in Edinburgh's Old Town, steeped in history and full of interesting features. Originally constructed in 1856 to connect the High Street to Waverley Station, it was named after the recently deceased Scottish literary figure Henry Lord Cockburn in a nod to his influence in preserving Edinburgh's history. The street features a series of small independent shops surrounded by scenic landmarks such as the City Chambers, built in 1761, and the medieval closes of the 16th century. It has featured in many films, including Hallam Foe and Avengers: Infinity War, making it a popular destination for film buffs and thrill seekers alike.
