Cycling around the Tam Coc area was the highlight of our time here. It was so nice to be able to spend time in nature and cycle on roads and pathways that weren't filled with motorbikes and cars.
We cycled overtime we went out to eat and we also easily cycled to Bich Dong Pagoda from Tam Coc.
Where to get bikes?
We stayed at Tam Coc Luxury Homestay where we were provided with bikes to use (included with our stay). They even had some with bike seats for kids!
If your accommodation doesn't offer bike to use, you'll be able to hire them in town from several spots. Some of the top rated ones are:
Bicycle & Electric Bike Rental Tam Cốc
E-Bike & Mountain Bike Rental Tam Cốc
Alternative options:
E-bike: Alternatively, you can join a e-bike tour through the area, with built in stops and a guide to help you along the way. I've linked a tour I'd recommend below. If you need a child seat, make sure to enquire before booking.
From Hanoi: There are also a few tour options that include transfers from Hanoi. So, if you're not staying in the area you can still experience Tam Coc! This tour offers child seat options.
