The Hội A Night Market was our first experience in the city, and it was so incredible! We couldn't believe how busy it was, there were so many people, it was such a vibe.
There are plenty of street vendors with so many different foods to try. Some of the things we tried were:
Dragon's Breath - it was cool to try, but wasn't all that tasty
Rolled Ice cream
Crepes with Nutella - obviously the kids pick
Kumquat Iced Tea - was so good!
Clearly we weren't all that adventurous... but we had eaten dinner in a restaurant that night where we also tried white rise dumplings (yum!)
If you're feeling adventurous there was also spicy octopus, dried squid and lots of other interesting delicacies.
There are also lots of stalls filled with things to purchase. We ended up buying some chopsticks to take home as our souvenir. But just something to keep in mind if you have little shoppers with you!
When: They are on every night and typically run from 5:00 - 11:00pm.
Where is it? located on Nguyen Hoang Street directly across from the Ancient Town area
Tips for your visit:
Bring cash and small change since most vendors and food stalls do not take cards
As it can be quite crowded, keep valuables secure
Cycling down the street at the time of the Night Markets is not allowed
