Unfortunately this is one of the attractions we didn’t manage to visit while staying in Da Nang, but it’s one of the most well-known day trips in the area.
Ba Na Hills is a mountain resort complex located about 30–40 minutes from central Da Nang. It’s accessed by cable car and is best known for the Golden Bridge, the pedestrian bridge held up by giant stone hands. The area also includes gardens, viewpoints, a French-style village, restaurants, and Sun World Ba Na Hills theme park attractions.
Getting there:
Most visitors arrange transport by taxi, private driver, or tour
What you’ll find at the top:
The Golden Bridge
A European-style village area
Indoor and outdoor attractions operated by Sun World (theme park)
Restaurants and cafes
Visiting with kids
This is more of a full-day attraction rather than a short stop. While there are rides and indoor entertainment areas, you’ll need to factor in:
Cable car ride time
Walking distances between attractions
Potential crowds, especially around the Golden Bridge
Weather changes at altitude
If your kids enjoy theme park-style attractions and don’t mind a busier environment, this could be a good fit. If you’re travelling at a slower pace or prefer quieter cultural stops, it may feel more commercial than other experiences in the area.

Tickets are required for entry to Sun World Ba Na Hills and include the cable car. Pricing varies by season and age category, so it’s best to check the official website for current rates before visiting.
