If you visit Dragon Bridge in Da Nang, plan to go at night when it lights up and breathes fire and water at 9 pm on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays and on major holidays.

Unfortunately during our time in Da Nang we didn't get to see the bridge at the right time of day. However, we did drive across it during the day and the kids thought the dragon was very cool!

Tips for seeing the fire:

• Arrive around 8:30 to 9 pm to claim a riverside spot

• Avoid the Dragon Bridge Deck with kids (it gets very crowded and is very close to the action)

• Book a short river cruise for unobstructed views.

• Along the riverfront promenade there are rooftop bars and cafes where you can enjoy the show with a drink.
