The Perfume River (Sông Hương) is a 80-kilometer-long, serene waterway flowing through the heart of Hue, Vietnam, renowned for its romantic, poetic beauty and historical significance. It is characterised by its gentle, slow-moving current, passing through lush green landscapes, and ancient temples (like Thien Mu Pagoda).

It acts as a central hub for Hue's culture, featuring traditional dragon boat trips. Avoid swimming and wear mosquito repellent when nearby the water.

I'd recommend visiting the waterfront at sunset. If you're lucky you may even get to enjoy some markets that are occasionally set up in the area.
