Short drive up Dome Road to a small parking area and a short, uneven walk to a panoramic overlook of the town and Yukon River. There are interpretive signs and a picnic spot but no services or shelter, so bring water, layers and bug spray in summer. It’s one of the best places for sunset and late-night summer light and for aurora viewing in winter.
