Blue Spring State Park in Florida is a hidden gem along the St. Johns River, where visitors can cool off in the refreshing 72-degree waters and catch a glimpse of the gentle giants known as manatees. The park has seen a remarkable increase in manatee numbers over the years, with peak numbers getting up to 800 manatee at one time! With hiking trails, canoe and kayak rentals, and guided river boat cruises, there's plenty to explore and enjoy at Blue Spring State Park. Just remember, during manatee season, the spring run is closed to water activities, so plan accordingly for your visit! You can camp here for $24 per night.
