Flamingo Campground in Everglades National Park is the perfect base camp for your Everlgades Adventure with RV sites & glamping tents this is perfect for nature lovers looking to get as far into the park as you possibly can - away from all traffic and most of the other tourists - at least that is what appealed to us! We were able to see a few Crocodiles and even some Manatee in the waters near the marina!
Just watch out for those AWFUL mosquitos, seriously they were BRUTAL when we visited (January) so make sure to bring lots of bug spray! There is tons of wildlife viewing opportunities here, although you will see far fewer alligators along the roads down here compared to other parts of the Everglades (which is definitely not a bad thing!), One thing I can almost guarantee is an abundance of birds, so if you're into bird watching or photography this is a hot spot! Overall, Flamingo Campground offers a nice retreat in the heart of the Everglades, perfect for kicking back and soaking up the natural beauty.
