The Auriol Trail in Kluane National Park is a 15 km loop that takes hikers through a mix of boreal forest and sub-alpine terrain, offering stunning views of the Auriol Range. The trail passes meadows, creeks, and wetland areas where you might spot wildlife like moose. There are primitive campsites along the way for overnight stays, and plenty of viewpoints to take in the surrounding mountains and valleys. Bear sightings are common, so make sure to follow safety recommendations and carry bear-resistant food canisters.
If you didn't want to do this full trail, go counter-clock wise and 4km in you will reach a sign that shows there's a viewpoint. You will go down a short path and reach an excellent viewpoint. While it doesnt give all the same great views on the trail, its a really great option to not have to hike the full 15km.
If you do want to do the full trail, its best to go clockwise. Depending on when you go, you may need to do a river crossing. We went in early July & had to do one sketchy river crossing (we were able to do a big jump and make it across so we did not get wet).
15KM, 505M elevation gain & rated moderate (we found this one to be on the harder side).
