Ti Piment is the kind of place you stop at because someone local told you to — and they were right. Set just off the main road in Bras-Panon, it’s an unpolished Creole restaurant where the food does exactly what it should: arrive hot, taste homemade, and fill the plate.

What you get here:

  • Daily-changing Creole menus — think rougail morue, cari zourite, civet canard

  • Plats du jour with rice, grains, and zesty rougail

  • Generous portions, fair prices, no waiting around

  • Mostly locals at the tables, especially weekdays at lunch

  • Indoor seating, basic setup, no frills — just good food and warm service

This isn’t a "find" in the tourist sense — it’s just where people in the area eat. But if you're driving the east coast, heading to Bassin la Paix, or just need a proper plate of food between stops, this is one of the better bets in the area.

👉 Local tip: Get there around 12:00. By 13:30 the best dishes are often gone — and they won’t make more.
