Unlike the Parthenon, which embodies power, the Erechtheion is known for its graceful elegance. This asymmetrical temple was dedicated to both Athena and Poseidon, making it one of the most sacred sites in ancient Athens. Its most famous feature? The Caryatid Porch, where six female statues (Caryatids) serve as columns.
👉 The Caryatids on-site are replicas. The originals are preserved in the Acropolis Museum (except for one, which is controversially in the British Museum).
