Trinity Church is one of the most historic churches in New York City, and was founded in 1697. The current Gothic Revival-style building, constructed between 1839 and 1846, stands as the third church on the site and was once the tallest building in the United States. The adjacent Trinity Churchyard is one of the most historically significant in the United States, and is the final resting place of Alexander Hamilton.
