Colorado is known for Denver as "the mile-high city." This means at altitude, we're closer to the sun, so even if you're not prone to burning easily, you need to be wearing sunscreen and applying consistently. If you do burn easily, I highly recommend not only carrying great sunscreen, but also a travel umbrella. Colorado averages 245 days of sunshine - so don't skimp this step!
