Imgyaa Marine Garden is one of those spots that makes you stop and say, “Okay… this is ridiculous.” Tucked on Miyakojima’s southeastern coast, it’s a calm turquoise inlet wrapped by dramatic cliffs and lush greenery. The water is crystal clear, perfect for paddling around, spotting colourful fish, and the most colourful coral, I've ever witnessed. There’s an easy boardwalk, a little lookout, and plenty of breezy spots to just sit and go full island-mode. It’s peaceful, postcard-pretty, and the kind of place you accidentally spend an hour at because your brain refuses to leave. You can hire standup paddle boards and kayaks from the beach. Make sure you pack your snorkels for this spot as the reef here is outa worldly!
