Ine no Funaya (Full Day Trip)

(Combine a full day trip from Osaka with Amanohashidate)

Combine Amanohashidate with a visit to Ine, a traditional fishing village with wooden boathouses along the Kyoto coast. The water here is so clear and beautiful that calling it stunning feels like an understatement. I never knew Kyoto could be this breathtaking. You can also take a boat tour for a unique perspective of the gorgeous coastline and its charming boathouses.

You can reach Amanohashidate & Ine Funaya either by joining a guided tour or traveling independently by train and bus.

Option 1: Guided Day Tour (Easiest)

Regional Pass Tips

If you’re planning one or two diy day trips or intend on exploring more of Kansai and Hokuriku, consider these two rail passes are highly worth considering:

  • JR Kansai Regional Pass WIDE Area Pass¥10,000 / 5 days

    • Covers the Limited Express Hashidate, plus trips to Okayama, Himeji, Wakayama, and Kinosaki Onsen.

    • Best if you’re focusing on Kansai + short extensions.

  • JR Kansai-Hokuriku Area Pass¥15,000 / 7 days

    • Covers everything in the Kansai WIDE Pass plus Hokuriku: Fukui, Kanazawa, Toyama, and even the Hokuriku Shinkansen.

    • Perfect if you want to combine Amanohashidate with Kanazawa, Shirakawa-go (via bus from Kanazawa), or Okayama
