Sunset Beach Park is a quieter beach spot on the southern end of the barrier island where locals and visitors let their dogs play on the sandy shoreline.

Unlike big designated dog beaches, this one feels laid-back and local — bring water for your pet, arrive at low tide for the best sand space, and enjoy a stroll along the shore with your four-legged friend.

Parking & Cost:
• Beach and street parking in Sunset Beach now generally costs around $5/hour on side streets and city lots around $4–$6/hour depending on the spot and time of day.
