Phil Foster Snorkel Trail

If you’re planning to snorkel in this part of Florida, Phil Foster Park is one of the easiest and most beginner‑friendly spots you’ll find. What makes it great is that you can snorkel right from shore. Just walk in, swim a short distance out to the marked underwater trail, and you’re surrounded by coral heads, sponges, schools of tropical fish, and lots of colorful marine life. It’s beautiful and it doesn’t require a boat or long swim to get into the action.

You can bring your own snorkel gear or rent it from outfitters nearby if you don’t want to pack yours. One of the best tips I can give is to go during high tide — that’s when the water is clearest and the blue hues are seriously unreal as the Atlantic pushes in. Early morning often gives you the calmest water and the best visibility before winds pick up later in the day.
