This is one of Florida’s go-to spring camping experiences — tucked into the Ocala National Forest with your campsite just a short walk from Alexander Springs, one of the state’s clearest and most beautiful first-magnitude springs. The campground sits under tall pines and hardwoods, giving you that shady forest feel while you’re set up close to some of the best natural swimming and paddling water in Central Florida.

The Alexander Springs Campground has about 67 shaded sites for both tents and RVs (up to ~35 ft), with **picnic tables, grills/fire rings, tall trees for shade, flush toilets and hot showers, and a dump station nearby — but no hookups, so it’s classic Florida dry camping with shared water spigots.
