Escape to a truly secluded piece of paradise at Stump Pass, where a mile-long beach offers some of the best shelling and shark tooth hunting around, especially in the winter months. For a change of scenery, you can wander the 1.3-mile trail that winds through diverse coastal habitats, perfect for spotting wildlife like manatees and gopher tortoises. The walk from the small parking lot to the more remote parts of the beach can take a bit of effort on the sand, but it's well worth it for the tranquility and stunning Gulf views you'll find.
