Best for: Staying, connectivity, food, nightlife, first-time travellers
Why I recommend it: Sukhumvit is the most convenient area to stay in Bangkok. It’s well connected by BTS and MRT, and has everything nearby — malls, cafés, restaurants, massage places and nightlife.
What to do here: Stay in this area, explore nearby cafés and restaurants, get massages, and use it as your base to move around the city.
Best time to explore: Anytime, evenings are more lively
Time needed: You’ll likely spend most of your trip around this area
My honest tip: If it’s your first time in Bangkok, stay here. It saves time, reduces travel stress and makes your entire trip easier. You’ll find multiple 7-Eleven stores, late-night restaurants and plenty of spas that stay open till around midnight, making it easy to eat, shop or relax at any time.
Nearby plan: Terminal 21, cafés, rooftop bars, spa experiences
