I’d recommend refilling your water whenever you get the chance and of course carry at least 10L (ideally more) in a water can.

The further you get from Perth, the less frequent refill points become. Don’t assume the next town will have one.

If you have WikiCamps, its solid for finding refill spots — just check ahead before you move on.

I have also marked various water refill spots on the guides map, they're marked as an "Area." So if you see the marker for that (), there'll be water available there. My advice is to just always double check your stores before getting to camp and you should be fine. I learnt this the hard way - we got to a camp once and realised we didn’t have much to last us so we had to drive back to town for a refill (not ideal.)
