In 2026, bank holidays in England allows you to turn 18 days of leave into 45 days off!

The Easter 16-Day Block (The Big One): Book March 30 – April 2 AND April 7–10. Because Good Friday (April 3) and Easter Monday (April 6) are bank holidays, you get a full 16-day holiday (March 28 – April 12) for just 8 days of leave.
The May 9-Day Sprint: Book May 5–8 (following Early May Bank Holiday). You get a 9-day break for 4 days of leave. This is the "sweet spot" for the Lake District before the school summer rush.
The Christmas Closer: Book Dec 21–24 and Dec 29–31. You get 16 days off (Dec 19 – Jan 3) for only 7 days of leave.
