We stayed at this stunning loft in April 2024 with family, and it is easily one of the our favourite stays we’ve found near Edinburgh—ranking in the top 5% of homes on Airbnb. Located in Dunfermline’s Heritage Quarter, you are steps away from Dunfermline Abbey and only a 10-minute walk to the train station (Dunfermline City Station) for a direct link into Edinburgh. The space is massive, featuring a double-height open-plan living room, a gym area, and a dedicated office for those working on the road.
The highlight for us was its small balcony with far-reaching views of the iconic Forth Bridges—perfect for a sunset drink. With 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms (including a whirlpool bath), it’s a brilliant setup for groups or families. While the £250/night tag might feel a bit much for a couple, it is exceptional value when split between 6-8 guests. Whether you are heading to the Fife Coastal Path (26 mins away) or the Cairngorms (70 mins), this is a stylish, high-end base that truly feels like a home away from home.
Parking: Multiple long-stay options steps from the door. Most are paid, but there are also a few free spaces nearby if you time it right.
Pet Policy: No pets allowed.
