Dolgellau is a quaint market town nestled in the heart of Snowdonia, surrounded by mountain scenery and dotted with beautiful stone houses. I loved wandering through the narrow, charming streets, where each corner feels like a step back in time. The town also features a stone circle near its rugby club, adding a touch of ancient history to your visit.

It’s a perfect base for exploring the surrounding mountains, or simply for a leisurely stroll with stops at local cafés and shops. The views from the town and nearby paths are especially stunning in the late afternoon when the sun casts golden light over the peaks.

Parking: Several small public car parks are scattered around the town; walking is the easiest way to explore the centre.

Tip: Bring comfortable shoes for wandering the streets and paths around town. If you have time, take a short walk up to the stone circle for a peaceful spot with panoramic mountain views.
