May, June, September and early October are among the best months to visit Elba. The weather is usually warm, restaurants and beach facilities are open, and the island is noticeably quieter than in midsummer.
July and August are the busiest and hottest months. Beaches fill up quickly, accommodation is more expensive and parking can be difficult.
Spring and autumn are especially suitable for hiking, mountain biking and exploring the villages.
