Stapavík, also known as Stapinn, is a charming inlet near Egilsstaðir that used to be a bustling trading harbor back in the day. Hikers can follow a scenic trail along the river Selfljót, passing by old ruins of fishermen's huts and sheep shelters. Don't miss the historic Krosshöfði landing, where merchandise was shipped until the 1930s. It's a great spot to soak up some local history and enjoy a leisurely stroll by the sea.
