Porta da Vila is the main gateway to the beautiful walled town of Óbidos, Portugal. It's made up of two structure gateways and features a tiled balcony or oratory that showcases an incredible blue and white tile panel depicting the Passion of Christ. For breathtaking views of the city head up the steps leading from the gateway and explore the walls around the picturesque city. Visitors can also enjoy the interesting museums, lovely churches, aqueduct and varied festivals that occur throughout the year, including the Medieval Fair, Chocolate Festival and Christmas Village. Porta da Vila is the perfect location to start your exploration of the charming city of Óbidos.
