Hótel Selfoss is one of our favourite hotels along the south coast. It's located in the perfect stopover location after exploring either the Golden Circle or the Reykjanes Peninsula, and we stayed here after a day of road tripping around the Golden Circle.

The hotel is located in the small town of Selfoss, which is also home to one of our favourite food stops in Iceland. It's comfortable with cosy but fairly simply designed rooms, and it's a very affordable hotel as well, which was one of the things we liked most about it. The second thing we loved most was the spa.

This is a separate cost to the hotel room, but it's well worth a visit with a sauna, steam room, cold plunge, and hot tubs, and we absolutely loved our time here. It was the perfect start to the morning.

As well as this, there's also a lovely restaurant which serves delicious local cuisine, along with a bar that offers a nice selection of drinks. Its convenient location, affordability, and facilities make it one of our favourite hotels on the south coast.
