This was the very first place we stayed during our winter road trip around Iceland. They have a main hotel here, but also several cosy cabins, and this is what we stayed in. The cabins each have a bedroom, a small kitchenette and an en-suite bathroom. They also have a private hot tub outside, which is shared between all the cabins.

One of the things we loved most about this place was the scenery. The hotel is backed by mountains, it's on the shores of a private black sand beach, and it's remote enough to see the northern lights if you visit during the winter months. It's an absolutely beautiful hotel, and we would 100% stay here again if we were visiting the west of Iceland.
