Kirkjufellsfoss is a stunning waterfall located on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, right by the iconic Kirkjufell mountain. This picturesque spot is a favourite among photographers, and it's one of the most photographed places in all of Iceland. The waterfal itself is fairly small, especially compared to others along the south coast, but the scenery is stunning here, especially the iconic cone-shaped mountain in the background.

We first visited this place during the winter months, and the waterfall was partially frozen, and the entire area was covered in snow. It was so pretty, and we highly recommend visiting in both winter and summer as it's a very different experience.
