Don't let anyone tell you Yufuin is "just another tourist town" - this street alone proves there's something special here. Yunotsubo Kaido stretches from the station to Lake Kinrinko, and it's packed with the kind of shops that make you want to peek into every doorway. We found some amazing pottery spots, this incredible lemonade stand, and coffee shops that would make any caffeine snob happy.

The whole setup is pretty perfect - you've got Mt. Yufu creating this dramatic backdrop while you wander between traditional buildings and modern boutiques. It's one of those streets where you plan to spend 30 minutes but end up losing hours because there's always "just one more" interesting shop to check out.

What makes it work is how they've managed to keep the quality high - these aren't your typical tourist trap shops. Whether you're into ceramics, looking for a good cup of coffee, or just want to sip fresh lemonade while soaking in the atmosphere, this street delivers. Plus, with hot springs nearby, you can reward yourself with a soak after all that shopping!
