The Mermaid Statue in Osaka is a charming little thing hidden near the bay, gifted by Denmark's Karlsburg Company. This replica of the famous Danish tourist attraction sits at the sunset point close to Kaiyukan and looks magical when lit up at night. We'd sit on the steps near here many nights to catch the best sunsets we saw in all of Japan. And, this is just between you and me, this statute is BETTER than the original one in Copenhagen. Shhhh.
